Patrick Dey is the Vice President of Digital Health and Innovation at Amgen, the world’s largest Biotechnology company located in Thousand Oaks, CA. He is responsible for shaping and advancing Amgen’s Global Digital Health and Data strategy, and delivering cross functional “beyond the molecule” initiatives that extend Digital Health capabilities to maximize the patient experience with Amgen’s therapies.
For the past year, Patrick has been leading Digital Transformation at Amgen, focused on next generation digital and artificial
intelligence technologies to unlock insights. In this capacity, Patrick partners with the commercial brand teams to enable and
accelerate Amgen’s growth transformation using technology to enhance the patient journey.
Previously, Patrick led the IT strategy and transformation for Amgen’s Global Operations, Supply Chain, and Process Development (PD) organization. As part of Amgen’s Full Potential initiative, he led a 3 year transformational program to support Amgen's growth and process development cycle time improvement, achieving a 12 month reduction from First in Human to Commercial Manufacturing. Patrick’s team was responsible for executing $100MM worth of Board approved projects to digitize Operations and Process Development, for a 30% year over year expense reduction.
Patrick also led the establishment of Amgen's new Process Development site in Cambridge, MA and the next generation Bio
Manufacturing facility that was recently licensed in Singapore.
Prior to joining Amgen, Patrick was the Vice President of Information Systems at Mattel, Inc. supporting Global Operations, Supply Chain, and Design and Development. During his time at Mattel, Patrick executed multiple Board approved programs to simplify global manufacturing and product development.
